So, the tf_animated community has these contests every week. Until this, it was drabbles; this week, it's a Character design contest.

Some ppl reworked existing G1 bots, so they'd fit the Animation!Verse. Others made up OCs.

And the vast majority... Spawned SueBots, and Crackbots. Tragic Backgrounds. Uber Powers. And the classical "This makes no sense and is even impossible but it will make me win" syndrome.

Saddest thing? It probably WILL make them win.

With slight Animated spoilers.

"OMG, the designs burrrnnn...!" - Yes, it's cheap. It's kiddy style, it's easy to draw. WHO CARES? The worst what could happen that we'll get more fanart.

"Animation is meh" - It's undoubtedly better than in G1. >3

"To which continuation this fits, anyway...?" - Umm, none? o_O For me, it came off like a pretty stable standalone piece. Like Marvel and Armada.

"Annoying humans..." Sari's dad is godawful, his design comes straight from "Hey Arnold". But Sari's cute, AND quite smart. Her plan actually worked...! (BTW, noted that the bots were much better drawn than the humans...? Isn't that what you always wanted...?)

"Why is he called Prime, when he's not that yet??" - Because maybe the title 'prime' merely indicates a leader...?

"OP kicked form the Academy...?" - Could happen... However, from his expression, and Magnus's remark, I'd say he failed his finals.

"So why is OP so young? What's with the Great War?" It passed. I'd say, either G1 OP never even existed - Sentinel Prime was there to substitute him - or he DIED a heroic death, and Animated OP just shares his name. (Maybe that's why Magnus told him that he's not programmed to be a hero) I entertain the thought of G1 OP and Prowl being involved into the creation of Animated OP and Prowl.

"Sari's key... *eyeroll*" - The fucking thing got charged with the Allspark's energy for Primus's sake.

"But OP was DEAD!!" - << >> I fail to see what's news in that. He does that on a regular basis. And Sari's key merely acted as a transfer device - the flippin' Allspark resurrected OP, NOT the key alone. I'd say, OP has the Matrix of Leadership from now on.

With the excessive usage of a nail file, I even managed to transform him properly, and by some miracle, he appears to be perfectly balanced right now. oo
