Did you guys know that when your package's worth exceeds 25 euros, you have to pay a custom fee in Hungary? If it's a gift, the limit is 45 euros. But better be prepared to prove it.

Just got ripped for $70 (14000Ft), for a package worth of $346.

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SEND ANYTHING. Thankyou.


Kiegészítés magyaroknak: A pasi, aki előttem állt a sorban, egy 300 dolcsis EMS csomagot kergetett... Ezek a cuccok beérkeznek a vámhivatalba, és addig nyomon lehet őket követni. Igen ám, de ők TOVÁBBKÜLDIK A CUCCOT A HELYI POSTÁKNAK. __OTT MÉG AZ EMS IS ELTŰNHET__.

Namármost, az enyémet nem küldték ki Vecsésre; ez valószínűleg azért van, mert én a Postának dolgozom. Az értesítés is külön speckó levélben jött. Szóval, ha csomag, küldessétek nekem.

Wow. O_o Well, I did NOT know that, so should I even want to send anything up, I'll definitely keep it in mind. I can understand that something like that pissed you off, big time.

Though I know with the post offices in Holland, they all like to pretend they are dumb and ignorant about other countries customs. I've been there dozens of times with questions like if I can send this up, or if it's illegal, etc and all they can always tell me is "Look on the website". And when I do look on the website, they give no information at all, so it's hard for me to know what happens once I've send up a package.

But that's a hell of a lot of money. Oo; Both for the package and what you had to pay on a custom fee.

Actually it was a gift, so I didn't pay those 300+ dollars... But it's a bit annoying, that if you receive a GIFT form a friend, you have to pay for it.
