For those, who don't know, EE is a pixel forum, mostly the 'doller' kind, kinda like those paper dolls for which little girls draw clothes and dress them and such, only digitally.
It had auctions and shops, where you could earn and spend forum points, and get awesome pixel artwork of your chars. Most posts earned you one point, so I think it wasn't really easy to gather them.
I have more than 3000.
And DAMMIT, I won't be able to spend it! I know I won't get half of my previously requested dolls, I'll loose contact with the few ppl I had business with and, and- NO FAIR! I kinda liked that place even though it was stuffed with untalented idiots and sickening sugarcoating. I used to check it daily. I've been there for one and a half years, and now I'm forced to find another place.
It's not that I like frums. It's not that I like the struggle for forum currency, if I want some artwork and I definitely despise the American mentality. But... I think it's about belonging to a community. Even though you grumble about it, it gives you a certain amount of pride and security to be able to say: "I'm part of this-and-this comm".
Most members will head off to Corrupted Carousel, and I might go there, too, even though the general feeling creeps me out - it's a macabre, emo gothmetal place, but the goodies look nice. But at least it's a mature-oriented community. But, on second thought, I might not. >> It REALLY creeps me out.
I just feel so fucking betrayed.
