Right, scratch the crossover idea, and no developed OCs...first time I actually heard anyone not want one of those. Mary-Sue hate seems very abundant, and I do contribute to that dislike, and believe if there are to OC's at all in fandom, must be well-developed. But the game's rules here will make things easier (I can just describe the girls through Nicholas' POV, right? Had been my plan before that they'd only come through his eyes....) and yet I thought you mentioned that maybe we could take on two characters? I don't know if I actually have a 2nd character in mind, but I would like to know if the option's really open or not. (Good point though about focusing on one, probably will go with that in the end; Nicholas should be enough....)
Did actually think of having Human!Greed--Nicholas--work as an auto-mail mechanic for the military, but I wasn't quite sure of the logic behind it, if I were to move forward and make him Ishbalan. (Didn't hear you mention your approval of that, but I suppose no bad news is good news, however...you'll let me know if it's o.k. for Nicholas to be Ishbalan, right?) I mean, on the one hand, were Nicholas Ishbalan, would he really go to work for the military? But on the other hand, I do like the idea, if simply for the irony of an Ishbalan actually working in the Amestris military--there could be good reasons, like say, his services would actually be put to the most effective use in the Military, pays well to support his daughters, etc. (It's happened before in the way; Ed didn't like the Military, but he had reason enough to get him to join.)
Like the "Father Pride" scenario you described very much; absolutely agree, either Homunculus or Human, Greed's on the "Light Side"; also agree that if he does go Homunculus, has to stay that way, there'll be no going back.

Also, am I the only one thinking Star Wars with "Father Pride"? Ah, Darth Vader's infamous "I am your Father", Luke's reaction, etc. (Actually, between the 2, think Vader waaay cooler, Luke doesn't really appeal to me that much--but it's clear who's filling whose roles, and Greed's just so much better than Luke...and I've gone rather off-topic, haven't I?)
I don't really have AIM or MSN.... Perhaps post up rough drafts on the future comm., edit them with comments, delete, post up the final copy?
Also, need more time for Human!Greed's design description...I can just describe it in words, right? Because I don't think I can draw it and post it up on the Internet myself....
