New RP/Fiction Project

okami_huThe project is a bit like a claiming community – you have to apply for the character if you want to have it. You can take any character but – here’s the twist – you can make him/her into a homunculus.
Yes, we have an AU world here. It is possible to start off with a Furymunculus, or reserve the right to become a homunculus later. The story is based off of the anime mainly but you’re encouraged to bring the manga chars as well, such as the Xing bunch.
Of course, this requires a background. I came up with one, merging the anime and the manga. Dante is the mastermind behind the scene. She creates/takes the homunculi and raises them into faithful servants. The seven Sin-homunculi were originally her creations entirely. These seven creatures are responsible of “recruiting” new candidates, who could be the subject of Dante’s next human transmutation. Where does she have the Philosopher’s Stones necessary for that? The Fifth Laboratory or the Ishbal War is a perfect opportunity for that. (Dante’s future player, this is all up to you. Whatever you come up with, that’ll be our canon.)
We also have some background info mostly based off of the already taken characters.
Ed died at the age of twelve and Al tried to bring him back. Experiment had the usual consequences. Edmunculus was taken by Dante. Al signed up for the military after Roy offered him the chance. He became a master alchemist during the next coming years. The Ishbal conflict happened, Scar's story is the same. He met up with Al a few times, some sex ensued and Scar eventually died creating a Stone. Roy and Co. came to fetch it but Al claimed a piece for himself, revived Scar and fled from the military. Scar became the next Lust, because Al killed the previous one and used the stone inside her (manga ref.) as well.
Roy has an unhealthy relationship with his first lt. Hawkeye who is in fact Ed. (The real Hawkeye went missing four years ago. She is either a chimera or a prisoner next to Kimbley.)
This background leaves enough free space for the other characters. Hohenheim could be very well a homunculus, perhaps Dante’s unfaithful lover, who now rebels against her along with Greed. If one desires, there could be a “Father” as well. The possibilities are endless. However, I strongly recommend that Hohenheim should be a strong, “light side” character, who can lead the people against Dante. In his team, there could be military members, neutral characters and other homunculi, who want to go against her will. (Remember, you can have your soul back if you put an effort, some Philosopher’s Stone and a good alchemist into it. XD) Nothing is decided, everything depends on the characters.
Now, here's the tricky point of the project. When you want to have a homunculus character, you have to explain first, how did she/he become a homunculus. No exceptions, even if you choose the good old Greed, you have to write a fic about him the minimum length being 1000 words. That is the entry, the ticket for the membership. If you want to have a char whom you'd like to turn to a homunculi later, you should have an idea, how the transformation will take place and summarize this, that I could approve.
You also need to come up with a design for the new homunculus; this includes clothes, powers and the placement of the oruborous. I won’t allow two homunculi to have their marks on the same place, so be creative. ^_^ The original Sin placements are still valid but you can switch them as you will. This is true for the original abilities but you’re encouraged to come up with something new. Please, keep in mind that I reserve the right to deny any ability which is illogical or downright stupid. An example: Furymunculus – as he is Vanity – can break the light and create illusion copies of himself. Lust!Scar’s ability is up to the player. ^_^
Another requirement is some basic sanity on the part of the player. When choosing the name for the character, try to be at least a little conventional. Basing off the “sin” of the character of his/her original personality is strongly encouraged. Remember that this game is NC-17 friendly, so Lust and Greed are supposed to do it like bunnies.
To make it really interesting, you can have a non-homunculus character as well and don’t even have to make a fic for him/her; all I need is a little sample then to see if you understood how you should write. If you feel like it, you're allowed to take two characters. Adding interesting twists to the personalities of side characters - such as Breda, Farman, Belshio, Rose, etc - is strongly encouraged.
How this will work (hopefully). Once you have the character, you decide who you’d like to interact with. You hop onto MSN or AIM and ask that char’s player. You’ll write the interaction in 3rd person past tense flowtext (like the fanfictions are written usually) and post the cleared-up final product on the comm for others to read. So basically, we’ll write fictions here. Basically, the actual RP-in will take place between two or more players via the messenger program/board and the finalized fanfiction will be posted on the community.
Whatever you write will be very likely considered canon (unless you seriously f**ked up something), so PLEASE, be consistent.
Below is the list of homunculi names. Remember, only the first seven, those, who are wearing the names of the actual cardinal sins can be called a Sin. In this case, “Sin” is like a rank, the distinction mark of a leader.
