Oh? I noticed the straightjacket on Kira and I was wondering a bit although he indeed was totally delusional. *hugz Kira* Drat, I have to check the manga...
Hmm, fave pairings... I don't knooow! Actually, I feel like we haven't seen enough of the characters - save Ichi and Rukia's downside - I'm not sure I could capture them right in different situations. (<- the effect of too much writing and RP)
However, I think Young!Renji x Young!Rukia (meaning, before they assigned to school) could be quite cool. Novice!Renji x Novice!Kira as well - I'm sure Renji would be extremely pleased with himself that he could bed somebody of a higher class. I have yet to see some "reference material" but I guess Ichigo and Renji will make an extremely dynamic and fun couple. With all the sneering and cursing and fighting which ends in HAWT SMEX!! Uryuu and his affection for Orihime is nice as well but on a purely platonic level. And Kyouraku and Nanao remind me of Roy and Riza from FMA just without the rabid fangirls.
I think, mostly the fanfictions will carry me into one direction or the other. I want to see the whole series awailable part of the series before starting to read, though. I'll see which are the fave couples (okay, I already have glimpses of them), how the fandom interprets the characters and then decide. Actually, I have fave characters instead of pairings. Renji, Ichigo, Chad, Kon, Toushiro, Rukia when she's not angsting... Kyouraku ^_^ ... I can't help but like Tousen and Komamura individually as well. And I'm a Tsubaki fan definitely but the poor guy is such a support char that it's painful. Yoruichi is quite cool as well and the 4th Division's vice captain seems to be cute.
