In case somebody was wondering why the Hell I wasn't available online in the past four days... Just in case. ^^ Because, apparently, nobody found it too starnge. Well, not those, who know my phone number.

Thursday morning. I wake to my mother's cussing (loud and creative), because there's a blackout. I sleep back. I wake again, power seems to me back, but it's weid - my monitor is clicking madly. I figure, the power came back, went out, came back, went out, yayy. I get up to switch it off, strangely, the thing doesn't want to react. I pull the power chord and faint back to bed.

I get up in the afternoon, dress, get some food and switch in the comp. The monitor is still clicking.

R.I.P.

I pull on my hair, cuss and curse all the gods above and the demons below, because normal monitors are hard to find, I thought I'll have a few days after I buy the new machine to find one instead of an LCD. LCDs are... bad. Poor. 16 millions of colors, and I do graphics. At night, I listen to my jazz CD, draw some hot Human!Verse Transformers smut, and go to bed at 10. My heart weeps for my RP-partners, and my boss, who is supposed to send me material for his website I'm working on.

Friday morning, I wake up to my Mom busily hammering the new bookshelves together. She's that resourceful, yeah. Now, I HATE when somebody's in my room. Even if it's my dad watching my TV. I dress, have a bite, and run off to get money from my account - the new machine's price topped with a new monitor's. (~833$)

When I return, Mom and I walk off to the brand new shopping center some two hundred meters from the flat - it has an electronics shop, too, it sells monitors. Mom naively pokes me to ask if they have anything else I need - namely a motherboard, memory cards, video card... I end up with a weirdly-shaped LG LCD monitor.

Still no machine, I want to connect the screen to the new one. I go to sleep early again.

Saturday morning, we go to buy the new machine, with Mom again - Dad's at work, and he was bitcing that you can't find a parking place in the inner city anyway, so we told him to screw it. At this point, my shoulder, my hand and my side hurts - helped to put together the shelf AND the new desk as well. But who is listening to me up there, anyway. Back home, machine to the corner - I can't put it together, it has to wait until my brother comes home (The fucker spends more time at his GF/friends/fave pub/wherever than home. I hope he moves soon.). More furniture-assembling, I can see the blister forming on my palm from the screwdriver.

Bro comes home, spends two hours with putting in the motherboard and the processor cooler, then gives up and runs off to the GF. No Internet AGAIN, and I can feel my nerves tingling but not with spider sense. My room looks like an extremely stylish cross between a bombed building and a place after moving.

Sunday morning. We put the third shelf together, I wait the fifteen minutes until Mom gives up on aligning it with the other two. NOTHING aligns in our flat, the walls are in all kinda angles, no joke. Our toilet's floor was sloping until we renovated the flat and the guys corrected it. I put all my books on it, then stare at the heaps of papers left off - the previous shelves had six shelves, these have five. Great. The coffee table under my window has no place there anymore, my home altar is done for.

While we were out picking out a new chair (it'll arrive in one-two weeks ^^), my bro put the machine together. Now, I only have pull all the chords and get it to place. When done, it turns out, that I was such a naive soul to think, Windows could simply cope with the new hardware. It CAN'T. I strain my brain to remember what needs to be saved from the Windows partition. I remember nearly too late, that in the Documents folder, there's the full clear up of about five RPs (one is 35 pages long). Fonts folder gets saved, my brushes are located on another drive, bookmarks are all up on Foxmarks. Windows reinstalls and I watch all my about twenty perfectly set programs go by. Yay. I just finished fine-tuning MSNPlus.

Moreover, bro tells me the new, modern motherboards are only able to operate with two things - like, two winchesters. Or a winch and a DVD-burner. I have - naturally - two winchesters, all loaded with important data, a DVD-burner, and a CD-burner. Note to self: buy a 200GB winch.

So, here I am, with a new monitor I didn't want, a new machine, which will make me spend even more money, without even a windows office, and there's a high chance my bosses will fire me at the end of the month.

Don't talk to me unless you want to RP. Pity me, and I'll bit you.
