Another slightly early gift for
cry_oh_zadkiel - because she requested delicious things.
Demyx's slender body was still quivering from exhaustion; he lay with closed eyes on the bed, gasping for breath. Saix was almost guarding him with a solemn look, patiently waiting for something – either the yoo-i, or Vexen to move. Roxas slowly inched toward the medicine man, curiously peeking over his shoulder.
Finally, Vexen turned, moved to the bed and placed the two small bundles into Demyx's arms. He opened his eyes and stared down at the small faces, the tiny fingers and huge blue and golden gazes.
"They're both healthy," Vexen announced. "Strong and beautiful children. You can be proud of them. You did well, Demyx, despite all the complications at the beginning, there is no harm done neither on them, nor on you. Take good care of your children." He briefly patted Demyx's hand and turned. "You might want to name them. I'll be off for a while now, tending to my own tasks, just take your time."
Saix was still silent but one could see he was almost bursting from pride. One of the nyonkos in Demyx's arms looked up at him and reached out, groping for something to grab. Saix cautiously held out his hand toward it.
"Demyx... Why are you crying?" Roxas pulled closer, watching the heavy drops form in the aqua eyes and glancing at the blue-haired little nyonko wiggling a bit, trying to snuggle closer to the yoo-i's warm flesh.
"I've... I've never thought it'll feel like this," Demyx whispered. His gaze was clouded, and he somehow seemed to glow. Roxas thought he looked beautiful like that.
"How does it feel?"
"I'm happy," Demyx breathed. "It's so warm inside, I feel proud, content, whole and... just very, very happy. As if I found something I was looking for in all of my life." He glanced at the blond hunter. "Thank you for giving them to me."
Roxas blushed and embraced his mate's neck. "I'm sorry for forcing it on you. We could have been more considerate."
"It doesn't matter anymore," Demyx smiled softly and shifted a little. He pulled the thin blanket covering his child away a bit and gently guided the tiny mouth to his nipple. The little nyonko whimpered, then began to feed, relaxing completely. Roxas' heart melted. Despite this being his very first pregnancy, his first children, Demyx knew what to do, his instincts guided him well. He looked so serene on the bed, a bit weary but smiling in a rare, uniquely gentle way, as if he just had been trusted with some beautiful secret.
"What will we call it?" Roxas inquired, cautiously stroking the baby's head. Demyx thought for a few seconds. "How about Xan?"
"I like it," Roxas nodded and turned to Saix... He had a hard time covering his laughter. Demyx didn't even try.
The blue-haired hunter looked rather helpless – he sired a few children before but he never had to take care of them. The curious nyonko seized his little finger and now, was sucking on it stubbornly. Demyx's melodious laughter rolled out like pearls and he freed his mate's fingers from the little mouth, guiding it to his other nipple. Soon, the yet unnamed child was feeding as well, his breathing calm, and his face shining from contentment.
"We have a Xan," announced Roxas. "Any ideas for the other?"
"Rexo," Saix replied, flexing his fingers then breathing a kiss on Demyx's head. "I'm proud of you. You delivered our children bravely. I've never seen such flawless nyonkos before."
"We made them together," Demyx blushed prettily, then he quieted, averting his gaze. "I hope... you don't want to get rid of me until they're big enough, right?" he asked on a small voice.
In the next moment, two pair of arms held him tight.
"You silly creature," Saix growled on a scolding manner, "why would we want to get rid of you? Who'd feed the kids then?"
"We love you, Demyx," Roxas looked solemn and very mature as he caressed his blond mate's hair. "You take care of us, you're warm and pretty, a wonderful mate. We won't get rid of you. You belong to here now, our tribe and us."
