Showers: probably a bit of both. Sonic to actually get rid of the dirt, and oil for general maintenance. Thought it makes you wonder... How do you get rid of the excess oil sensually trickling down on their bodies, seeping into sensitive little crevices, making them slippery and shiny...? Maybe they have something like a vacuum cleaner XD to sorta suck the oil off of their armor.
